Kenneth J. Halpern, Member

The primary focus of Kenneth Halpern, Esq., is bankruptcy law, including representation of debtors and creditors in all forms of Chapter 7, 11 and 13 proceedings.  Ken has over 29 years of experience in representing clients in various forms of bankruptcy.

Ken received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware as an undergraduate and.  He then attended Brooklyn Law School and received a Juris Doctor degree in law in 1968.  He was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 1969 and then after in the United States Supreme Court, United States First Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts and the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern, Southern, Northern, and Western Districts of New York.

After graduation from law school, Ken became an Assistant District Attorney in Nassau County, where he was a prosecutor from 1969 to 1976.  He has been a Member of Nassau County Bar Association since 1976.  He has been a Member of the Bankruptcy Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association since 1981; and on the Ethics Committee of the Bar Association from 1992 to 2001.  He is a member of the Former Assistant District Attorneys Association, Who’s Who in American Law and a Member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
